NYC DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS - CODE REVISIONS
The New York City Department of Buildings is mandated to keep the City’s Construction Codes up-to-date with the latest version of the International Code Council Codes (I-Codes). The Department has organized a series of Committees to assist with drafting revisions to the New York City Construction Codes. Erleen Hatfield, is the chair of the Steel Panel, which reviews and updates Chapter 22 Steel, of the NYC Building Code.
AIA NY - FUTURE NOW SYMPOSIUM

SOCCER CONFERENCE - YALE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
The inaugural Yale Soccer Conference promoted the role of management in this multi-billion industry. The theme of “Sustainable Commercialization and Professionalization of Soccer” provided a unique opportunity for participants to share and discuss best practices, to learn about the applicability of latest business practices in soccer and to network. Hatfield Group’s, Erleen Hatfield, welcomed the attendees on Day 1 and presented on “Structuring the Fan Experience” on Day 2.

AIA NEBRASKA ANNUAL CONFERENCE | KEYNOTE
Hatfield Group’s Erleen Hatfield, PE gave the keynote address at the 2018 AIA Nebraska Annual Conference on September 20, 2018. Her talk, titled “Structuring Better Communities” focused on density, sustainability, and community engagement.She shared insights from her perspective as a structural engineer discussing structures, their designs, and impact on the urban landscape. She discussed new approaches to maximize density, improve community engagement, and new methods to creating more sustainable buildings.
THE PLAN FORUM PERSPECTIVE USA
Hatfield Group's Martin Finio, FAIA, presented at an event in New York City, sponsored by Italian architectural magazine, The Plan. The Forum Perspective event took place on July 16 and 17, 2018 in lower Manhattan and featured noteworthy speakers from around the US.
ENR GLOBAL BEST PROJECT AWARDS | JURY
Hatfield Group's Erleen Hatfield, PE was a juror for ENR Magazine's 2018 Best Global Project Awards. The seven person jury reviewed entries submitted in a variety of categories, to honor the world's best construction projects. Honoring the World's Best Construction Projects
The ENR Global Best Projects Awards honors the World's Best Construction Projects, with a focus on the challenges, risks and rewards of designing and constructing in other countries. The awards dinner held in October 2018 in New York, NY honors the global project teams behind outstanding design and construction efforts during the past year.
FORMER INDUSTRIAL SITE TO BECOME GREEN CONDOMINIUMS
Hatfield Group is providing services for a new mixed-use building at 510 Driggs Avenue, designed by New York architects Woods Bagot. Silver masonry and steel-framed windows create a bold-lined rectilinear facade. The new look also incorporates 25 private terraces overlooking the street, and shared terraces on the fourth, sixth, and seventh floors. Completion is expected by the first quarter of 2020.

New York-based Hatfield Group partners with Christopher Lamberth, Associate AIA, a former vice president and marketing principal at HOK. In addition to Lamberth, Hatfield Group welcomes partner Martin Finio, FAIA an architect with 20 years of experience. Finio’s role is to serve as a liaison between the architects and the engineers to make sure things work properly in the design process. It’s a different approach, according to Hatfield.
